Is $3000(USD) a good price for a school trip to Japan?
During the trip we will participate in a short home-stay and visit many historical sights. The focus of the trip is to experience Japanese history and culture. The price includes airfare, transportation, lodging, some meals, and activities. The trip lasts 2 weeks (2 days allotted to flying between US and Japan). Is this a good price?

Very good price, my sister is paying 3000 USD for a trip to washington DC but its only 5 days. You have a deal

If you already paid cost like air fare and accommodation, $3000 is more than enough.
3 :
Yes it is, airfare from the west coast is around $1,200 and even more for the east coast. I would pay and enjoy, it's a good deal for 2weeks.

Seems reasonable as long as you don't go crazy in the last few days

a school is a building and cant use calculators. I think the students can though
2 :
Two of the highest-achieving countries at the fourth-grade and eighth-grade levels, Singapore and Japan, use calculators sparingly in elementary schools. In Japan: 89 % of the students use calculators.
3 :
In my case, I did not use a calculator when I was in junior high or high school. But it could be different for other people.
4 :
In junior high and in high school you are allowed to use calculators.

Oh man...where do I start! There are good schools...and there are bad ones....sadly, some of the big ones these days really look for ways to milk every yen out of teachers and students. The work schedule can be hard sometimes or very repetative and you really need to have a lot of patience. Do research before you choose a school...they are NOT all equal.
