Yes. My elementary school had such rule which we always ignored. "Buy snack after school" is called kaigui (literally means buy-eat) and it's not so welcomed attitude for elementary students. Some reasons of this rule are possible trouble by bringing money to schools and unhealthy diet by eating snacks because kids become not hungry at dinner time.

Do you have a work visa or a holiday work visa? If so, you can go to several websites and find jobs. The best one is http://www.gaijinpot.com but you can go to others: http://www.ohayosensei.com http://www.jobsinjapan.com http://www.daijob.com You can search for a job on all those sites. If you do not have a work visa or otherwise, you may find it hard to find a legal part time job. In that case, you can go to one of the English instruction schools, but they usually don't offer part time jobs. However, you can get a visa through them. The main ones are: Nova, Aeon, ECC, and Geos. There are many other smaller companies, as well. Look around Nagoya and I'm sure you can find many of them. Be aware that NOVA has a very bad reputation for treating their teachers like garbage. http://www.teachinjapan.com/ - NOVA http://www.geoscareer.com/ - Geos http://www.aeonet.com/ - Aeon http://www.japanbound.com/ - ECC

what exactly will you be teaching? If you are a fluent Japanese speaker than it shouldn't be too difficult. If you only speak english then it's relatively difficult because most Juku langauge teachers are japanese and they teach mostly in Japanese as well. You'll have to be able to explain and teach in Japanese.

There are 82 medical schools in Japan, so I'm not going to research which ones might have an English program. But the link I have provided will take you to the International Medical Education Directory which will enable you to research the schools. If you scroll down on each school it does indicate the language, as well as provide a link to the school's web page.

If I study abroad in Japan in high school could I stay in a dorm

If I study abroad in Japan in high school could I stay in a dorm?
Is there a program like that? I just want to experience a day to day life in Japan and be more social with friends, not a traditional life with a homestay.
