uhm, I think this depends on the publisher. having an online portfolio is a good thing though, you should also try to visit japan and get some japanese language skills. don't doubt your skills. you have what it takes to be a manga artist. Good luck!

It would probably depend on how old you are and how much you are willing to practive. You'd be able to take an art course with pictures like that, but you'd need to go a lot further as an artist to get into a big name college on an art course. To be horribly brutal (Don't read this is you are sensitive) , your character scale is off, you can't maintain perspective which leads to some body parts being too big and other's being too small. you're use of color and shade needs work. you also need to practice drawing free flowing clothes. Alice is good, but, for example. he eye is positioned incorrectly in relation to her hair line and the posture of her head. Others like anBu naRuTo have part of the body facing almost dead on when it should be facing much more to the side. Don't get me wrong some of this is above average and even pro artists have to start somewhere, but you'd probably not get a look in on a competitive art course. Just keep practicing, it's all that anybody can do.

I'd give you an 8 to 9. You've obviously got abilities (and I read your notes and am sorry you're having computer and tablet problems!) I would suggest that you keep practicing and try to develop your own style. But these really are good.

I'll give them an eight. Let me just say when you talk about any illustration art, there are issues of craft not settled by photoshop and other computer programs which a gouache painting might settle. If I were doing a portfolio I would include both actually. Especially for a school rather than a publisher.

i think you are deffinatley at the standard of many manga artists and anime artists already going in japan, so im sure you would be able to get in.
